This software is designed to compress and extract TM2 files.
Essentially, these files are nothing more than a Tar BZip2 archive, but the BZip2 part is multithreaded to speed up compression. However, it includes a fundamental feature for Haiku: it handles BFS attributes, which are stored as flattened BMessages alongside the compressed files.
This format handles attributes better than Zip files (at least in my experience).
Another interesting feature is the ability to create auto-extracting executables. This allows you to share compressed files so recipients can extract them without installing any additional packages or software.
